Emergency Response Time Compliance (First Unit on Scene)
Description
Measures the percentage of emergency incidents in which the first fire engine or Advanced Life Support (ALS) unit arrives on scene within 7:30 minutes or less from the time of dispatch for calls in the first due response area. This performance measure reflects the department’s ability to provide timely emergency response, which is critical to life safety, property conservation, and positive patient outcomes. Rapid response times support the City’s Strategic Plan goals related to public safety, service reliability, and community trust.
