Tax Base (Citywide)
Description
The total value of all real property is called the tax base. A strong tax base is important to cities because it provides the revenue needed to fund essential services such as public safety, roads, parks, utilities, and community programs. A healthy and diverse tax base also helps maintain financial stability, support long-term infrastructure investments, and reduce the burden on individual taxpayers.
Measure Status Update
Tax base is reported annually from the Pinellas County Tax Assessor.
Measure Next Steps
The next update for tax base will include information on the 2026 calendar year and reported out in the spring of 2027.
